I joined bumble bff and actually met a few close friends that way lol. It’s hard making friends as an adult!
Oh no! Yeah I tried bumble bff a while back when I was dating. I wish it was separate from the dating app, especially now that I’m off the market!
Join community boating and meet people there
That’s the plan!! Will I see you there?

Meetup or Volo. Run clubs here are rabid. Not everyone is a marathon runner, maybe half marathon. Hard to fit in as an "average" runner.
Oh wow no wonder nobody joined! Link didn’t copy properly! Thanks for following up - here it is!

We have a big dragon boat community - a little different than sailing but it's how I made friends here after moving. Check out meetup for groups. Plus you're out on the water.
Kudos, I’ve tried a few times, it is not easy! I need to develop more muscles for that haha. Great fun though
I’m trying to get back into running, sailing and painting after a long hiatus so sounds like we have some things in common! Feel free to DM me :)
There’s a 5k fun run in Jamaica park every Saturday at 9am :) Feel free to DM me if you’d like to meet there & have coffee after or something!
Second bumble bff! I’ve met a lot of great people on there.
Where did you move from? Community boating is awesome. When I moved here,my boys learned sailing there and it cost $1. 🤣 So many art communities as well. You will love it here.
Definitely joining community boating - they have some great racing! Which art communities do you recommend?
1. Join a hashing club - they seriously run, but not real fast and it is a roving party - was very Boston a decade ago - I can't see how it is any less.
2. Join community boating. I did it 20 years ago, but am now out of the city so I am in a different club.
3. Join community rowing. Take up rowing. Same water, new experience.
I’ll leave rowing for my buff SO! Did it in high school, and going to stick with sailing haha. But yes, definitely joining community boating!
I really enjoyed volo. I did it with a group of friends but we had some random people added as individuals to our team, by the end you wouldnt know who was an individual vs started the team with us and it was fun!
For fun workout groups-Look up movember project. They used to do harvard stairs on Wednesdays w an army of people (pre covid) but I'm sure they're still a thing
I'm in my early 30s.. A month ago, I moved from Toronto to Maine for work.. For the first 2 weeks, i felt so lonely.. would love to hangout in Boston over weekends.. eventhough its 2-3 hours drive for me..
Have you checked out Portland, Maine? They have some really quirky social spots. I was quite charmed when we visited and happy to meet you halfway :)
When I moved here in ‘18 I started trying a few different breweries/distilleries if you’re into that. People will chat at the bar and talk about cool spots nearby. I actually found out about Downeast cider in Eastie that way and now I’m behind the bar there.
