Came here to say this!
The Woman in the Window was pretty entertaining in that genre. The Prague Sonata was excellent. It's not quite a lady thriller genre, but has a woman main character, a mystery involving music, WWII and takes place mostly in Prague. It's also not sad.
Max Brooks’ Devolution started off a little slow, but within a chapter or two I was hooked. Not quite a mystery but the same eerie, high stakes vibe.
Yaaaasss agree with this one. Such a good book.
You aren’t working hard enough.
