The SPX is just over 3% off the ATH. The Qs are down 7.4% and the IWM is down 4.7%. Again, from all time highs.

If you’re down significantly more than that you need to rethink your allocation and position sizing. Take some time to think about the risk curve and where you’re sitting on it. Look into some risk management rules.

And take some profits every once in a while.

I am in my early 40's and have about $300K invested and some in cash. I have $70K in credit card debt (no lavish lifestyle, just 2 bouts of unemployment and some major medical expenses, even after insurance).

I live below my means, LCOL city, used car, max my 401K, save my bonuses, etc.

I am going to get a large bonus where after tax, I'll get a couple hundred thousand.

Should I prioritize pay off all credit cards or pay down half/some of the cards and use the rest for a house down payment?

I recently bought a house (In my hometown), I am not staying there. It is currently on rent. I am getting Rent as 50% of the total Home loan EMI of that house. And it is equivalent to the rent that I am paying at my current location in another city.

Question is: Should I do yearly loan prepayments from my annual bonus to reduce the EMI amount or should I keep the loan going as it is and invest yearly bonus in share market or gold.

I think I am a pretty good programmer. I can do clean coding and make complex systems that are easily maintainable and understandable for my colleague's at a good pace. However, my personality afk is completely the opposite, I'm messy, incoherent in speech, easily confused and distracted and perceived as ditzy. I've been accused of being dumb sheep. I know a few of us like having a couple high dividend stocks that we sell calls against like T. I’ve just started a play like this on LUMN. Three reasons: 1) similar dividend to T but with a better (and improving!) balance sheet 2) growing free cash flow (but revenue is flat to down) 3) the technical set up has it breaking out of a multi-year decline. It’s also getting attention after the short squeeze play. Won’t be a screamer, but 10-12% income returns with the dividend plus CC could be nice.

How f*%ked am I?? I’m holding 100 shares of BABA at an average cost of $170? Just when I think it can go lower, it keeps plummeting 🙈🥲
