Heard nothing until 5/24 when the recruiter called - everybody loves my credentials, but my salary requirement is what they pay their managers and more than what the role I applied for pays. when I was working in my previous organization(a product based company), in 2018 they got good profit and decided to give a hike. Now the senior exe and other bosses decided to call employees to meeting room and give this good news. So they called everyone except QA. A dev(my friend) asked the boss why QA is not called, the boss said hike is not for them.

I felt really bad on hearing this. Aren't we QA not on par with other employees ? does being product based cause this ?
