Hi All,
Need suggestions here. Please help me out. I was interviewed with
IBM and got selected. Waiting for offer letter. Meanwhile got selected in another company and got offer too. Put down my ppr. Offer from another company is way beyond than IBM almost 22% more in terms of fixed. Now I’m confused that once IBM releases their offer then should I ask them to match with my holding or not ? Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM

Tips on how to deal with my direct report, the CMO, that won't honor the bonus structure in my offer letter? Over the last 2 months he's come to me with 2 re-negotiations, both lower than the original. I've countered saying I'll accept a lower bonus structure if my base is raised. Not sure who else in the company is involved/aware - he's my only point of contact. I'm 6 mths into the job and enjoy it, but this is a major red flag. Should I find a new job or hold my ground and see what happens?

Looking for input on how to handle a direct leader that is hot &cold. 1 yr ago my leader promoted me & has indicated she wants to mentor me to take her role when she retires (director). However, her behavior towards me changes from week to week, sometimes she is very supportive and encouraging then she switches to making critical or harsh indirect comments that are not about the results of my work but imply she would do it differently. How would you handle approaching this with your superior?

My company posted a job opening for a management position for my department and I read the job description… it is literally, line by line, a description of what I do now. I asked what the deal was and was told I should apply and that I’m qualified for the position. Should I be pissed that they didn’t ask me if I was interested in that type of position before they put out a job opening for an external candidate?
