Desperate attempt to get an EY summer internship referral. I’m an MS student with 2yoe as a Tech Consultant at Deloitte. The deadline for the summer internships is next week and would appreciate any help I can get🤞🏽
I still cant access my DM’s so please email me dimhara0@gmail.com if you feel like helping a desperate student out:)
How do you navigate getting a referral on a platform like this? Genuinely curious on if HR/Recruiting asks how you know the person you're referring, or if they don't care where the referral comes from.
Really interested in a junior PM role at Razorfish. A close friend currently works for a different Publicis org, so not sure if a referral from them would mean anything.
Referrals seem to have the upper hand so I figured advertising myself is worth a shot. Recent M.A grad currently based in atl, but looking to move to nyc. If anyone needs a jr. strategist or ae and would like to see my resume/portfolio, send me a note at a104352@aup.edu ! I can pinky promise to be a very enthusiastic and hard-working team member :)

I would do a LinkedIn search of people that work at the top IB firms that went to UC and see what they studied
I'd echo what PwC said. The best way to figure out what to do is probably to look at what the people who have gotten there did. There are some exceptions (my first degree was in creative writing before I went back to school!) but you'll like see a pattern that shows you the way forward.
You can look and see what others have done to get to their seat, but I think you're on the right track. A degree in accounting can take you many different places and getting an MBA or becoming a CPA can only bolster your previous credentials.
Accounting can be more technical compared to financing. The latter is more on planning and financial transactions or organization while accounting is focused on reports and recording.
Your degree might have some impact but it is not crucial to what you want to do in the future (Unless you required some sort of certification that requires a degree from an accredited institution). It is all about how badly you want it and what you are willing to do to get it.
