So pretty much everyone... sigh
ConEd bill 🤬
That's tricky. If you said $150k, it will be difficult to then ask for more. I'd at least wait until they extend an offer and renegotiate from there.
That’s really low, most sales reps make that as their base and if you’re a VP, you should be making at least 100k more in base salary
You are a sales guru. Use your sales skills and tell them how awesome you are and why they need you. Get that higher bonus structure!
You may have put yourself between a rock and a hard place but 150 would be WILDLY.... WILDLY.... underpaid
Agreed - you should aim for the 200k range.
Unique situation… I’m a 1099 contractor in the USA , (2 years same role) the company paying me is Canadian.
They pay me $2K USD per week., but of course I pay for my own health insurance and social security. I get no paid vacation or holidays.
It works out to $104k a year (less really because of holidays or if I take time off)
I found out my counterpart in Canada (very similar experience & age) makes $105k year Canadian… but of course has no health insurance to pay for. Plus she has a company car and I do not. But, she does drive for her job and I don’t . (Just a different type of territory situation)
Im struggling financially, (when I took the job I was living with a partner, now I am single) and want to ask for a raise , enough to cover 80% of my health insurance and 1/2 my social security. But, I also don’t want to rock the boat. Im doing a good job and they like me. What would you do?? Any advice?? And… similar salaried jobs in my field in the USA would pay $125 and have benefits. And, yes. I am looking for a new job. But… I really like the one I have, I just need more $$ (I know, doesn’t everybody!).
