The grass is not always greener. I left my prior firm that paid market but had a high hours requirement for bonus solely because I didn’t think I would hit it and the new firm guaranteed my bonuses. I loved the firm and the people, and the partners were always available to help. I like the work at my new firm and the people are great, but the partners are never available and I feel like they just tossed me in the ocean and I’m drowning. Midlevel. I've had a startup work experience, but now that they've all failed, I'm not sure what to do, especially what my worth is and what role I need to play to get a job. I'm looking for an opportunity and assistance in clarifying my role, salary, and career path.

Wanted some clarification about TCS salary structure Job level offered is C3B

1) Monthly performance pay is 9.25 percent of CTC. Recruiter is saying this is fixed salary. Is this component always fixed or there are scenarios when company can deduct this? Even if one is on bench, is this fixed?

2) Performance Bonus / Quarterly variable is 12.7 percent of CTC. Is this too high or standard for all people at C3B level?

3) Together both make variable 22% of CTC. Is it normal or too high?

Finished the last steps for interviewing with a company - reference checks. All my references told me that they gave stellar reviews on Monday.

It is now Thursday and no word on an offer. Everyone seemed to like me - so much so that they said they expedited my interview process.

So should I follow up today or wait until tomorrow (Friday) to follow-up?
