Hi- I am currently a software dev project manager and looking at CISA cert to make a switch to IT auditing. What are some good roles/companies that are hiring? Any other tips or info on the day to day jobs for someone with this cert? I am looking for a more "quiet" role. Less meeting/zoom call time..

IT audit is not quiet to me lol. You would be client face to face meetings all day and escalating people who are dodging you 😂

oh gosh! this is opposite of what I am looking for! any other ideas from PM roles?

IT audit is a no for me. You have software skills why don’t you go into data visualisation type of stuff, it involves less meeting. Just get requirements and build. The PM and project leads deal with meetings

Yeah I wouldn't pursue that route. If you want quiet, maybe a non-tech PM role?

Thank you all for the responses. Maybe non-tech may be the ticket. I will keep searching. I don't have a super urgent need to move, I am simply looking into options and planning for a less hectic role.

thank you! You have been very helpful!

Like work culture and if there is hiring firing culture I am from ETL background and knowledge of Hive and basic spark and I will be working on cloud(attended training only, consider near to no knowledge) and spark development. Will you suggest me to join there? Technology stack may be good for me but it will be new & challenging for me. Advise working with a coworker who doesn't "answer the question directly": I just joined a new company and I am starting to work with a coworker but I feel like he tends to deflect my questions all the time and he often gives a vague/BS answer. FOR EXAMPLE, I stepped in reviewing the list of deliverables needed for the project, I provided my input but instead of discussing the actual context, he would just gave me a bunch of historical background information. How do I "cut to the chase"?

Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team.
