Having a bit of an existential crisis - but fishbowl hasn’t steered me wrong so far.

I’ve got an offer to study a masters in international affairs (focus in economics) at Columbia SIPA (no financial aid package) or I could stay in management consulting (5-6 ywe) at Oliver Wyman.

I enjoy consulting but it wasn’t what I see myself doing long term. Longer term I saw myself either being an economist or working in the world bank.

Bored at job doing moderately tedious and stressful work for 120k, but I’m wfh, job security good, 9-5, a few opps to learn new skills if motivated. Debating job hunting since toddler who nanny is watching will go to daycare in a few months and I’m expecting to have more free time. I like set hours, but I want a pay raise and hopefully work on a project I can learn new skills on. Concerns: losing work life balance, upcoming recession > layoffs of higher paid employees . Would you job hunt?
