Hi, I am going to be joining Siemens Graduate Program (SGP) in Germany. I have been offered an entry level package. Although I have 3 years full time working experience before I started my masters. I was also working part time along with masters. All the roles I worked in are relevant to the current roles and assignments I will be taking during SGP. Can i negotiate the package?

You can only try. Go for it!

I ALWAYS negotiate packages. The worst they can do is say no. Please never say no for an employer by not asking. You're talents are worth a negotiation.

It is not a real interview experience unless you negotiate, and you will never be sure to get what you're worth unless you do. Even if they don't budge an inch you have to do it out of principle.

I’m currently in the process of interviewing with them for that specific program. Were you able to get an increase? DM me

Is there a career in IT where less people interaction and more focused work is involved, work is rather meaningful than deadline oriented non creative work.

I’m contracting with a company in an admin role, but sometimes I’m asked to do projects that would normally be outsourced to a marketing or design company like designing a flyer for example. It’s not in my job description, but I have the skills to do this work and so why not ask me to do it? Is it out of the question to ask if I can be paid for that work under a separate fee as a consultant or something? Is that even possible?

When it comes to your job search:

1) How often/much do you get feedback from recruiters or whoever you just spoke with? Feels like we're always in the dark. One way feedback street.

2) Who do you like to work with? Headhunters vs internalrecruiters? Is the experience different?

3) Have you had to align your interviews so that the offers would come in close/same day? What's your strategy?

4) What's your process in weighing [multiple] offers? If that ever happens? Where do you keep your notes?
