I’ve been in the process of reframing myself professionally as a software engineer, focused on data and building cohesive data platforms.

However, I feel like I am still lacking in a strong competency in data engineering / pipelines /etc. I.e. if you asked me to help you build a database or series for your next product group, I wouldn’t know where to start. Can anyone recommend good books/courses on the subject?

Looking for advice on types of roles I should be searching in financial services. I am an expert communicator, both written and verbal (many publications, and pre-consulting/fs career in public speaking), and a great salesperson. I am classified as an agent selling health insurance but there’s a private email I recently gained access to showing the company is using my broker license and I suspected that since I’m the agent of record on a lot of business. They pay for everything including leads but I’m working as an agent in one email whereas there’s another showing I’m using my license as a broker.
