Hiii! Just had my final interview and only got to ask one question because it was times up. Was hoping to use that time to show my excitement for the role and company. We used up the time discussing my role and him connecting it to role im applying for. At the end I only got to ask about company culture and quick goodbye. I'm on my notice period and got an offer from a company which is the role I'm looking for. However, they've given only 1 day to respond to the offer. This company is 2nd on my priority list and I got this from a personal connect.

So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. After 5 years as an AE / Sales Manager, what are the next possible career paths?

I love sales and wish I could stay as an individual contributor, but I feel like I am not getting anywhere with the salary i want, and the job itself I feel isn't using all of my potential/skillets (plus I'd like to learn and put into practice more).

So I'm really keen to hear from others what steps they took in their career to get into roles they love doing now but still within the sales side of an organisation.

Would anyone be open to referring me into google or AWS for sales? Currently 2.5 YOE in SAAS and hardware sales.

Inflation costs are killing my pipeline. Many of my deals are scaling back greatly because of their rising operating costs.

How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?

They need our services, which is at least some job security, but their scale back is greatly affecting our projections and quota attainment.

Good morning! I work in Medicare sales and I’m just getting tired of sales because I have to change these elderly people on their insurance very frequently, and it’s frustrating most of the time. I eventually want to be a Christian counselor and I just stared school but that’ll take awhile to get where I want to be. I just want to be happy right now without taking a major pay cut leaving sales. I’m making 80k now, I don’t need to keep making that but a decent amount while still helping people. 🙏

I’m a relatively new AE at my company but only 1/3 hit quota and 1/3 of those people hit POE+. Is it worth it to stay? We’re about to hit the “busiest” month but with everything going on in the world right now I don’t see it picking up. What do you all recommend?
