Why do people even work in consulting? I mean my pay is extremely low (only 180k with 8 YOE). In industry, this could be a lot more based on what I see here. I mean, do people in industry make less than 300k with 8YOE?

My boyfriend of 3+ yrs and I are applying to bschool together and we’re worried about doing long distance. He wants me to go to Wharton w/him rather than go to HBS. My post mba career goal currently is a PM in a big tech company, but it could change (though likely not going into VC or finance/consulting). Part of me really would still like to go to HBS due to the higher brand name, but I understand that both schools most likely will get me to my short term goals. Should I forgo HBS to be w/him?

My company is opening a SOC soon and I want to get certs that might get me on the team. I’m currently working in GRC but want to keep my technical skills sharp. Suggestions on SOC related certs? Already have a bachelors degree in IT, Azure Administration Associate cert, scrum master cert, and looking into TOGAF or ITIL (suggestions on either of those is appreciated). 2 YOE 95k TC

I’m currently at an agency and am pretty sure I want to go brand side. My experience is in health/CPG, so I’m interested in CPG companies (ABM roles - I don’t have a MBA so I realize that may be difficult), traditional tech companies (Amazon, FB etc.) and telehealth/health and wellness start-ups (one medical, roman, billie). I am a recent graduate student who will be joining EY as a cyber security consultant. I was wondering if anyone know how technical the job is (I don't consider myself someone too technical, so this question matters). What are my job duties? How does a normal day at work looks like? How many hours would I be working? Did some research and found many info: some said its all business related and writing down notes for clients.
