Hi,
I am trying to match in a specific row of a different sheet, although I want to use a calculated row value to specify the array to look in, see the photo for the logic I am trying to do… any ideas on how to get this to work?

Sooo:
1 - In the 2nd argument of the first MATCH(), there is a "Sheet1" just before the 2nd MATCH() - that doesn't exist
2 - are you trying to pass a reference for the range? Like instead of A1:A10, passing a moving reference? You need INDIRECT() for that
3 - You need to define the match criteria for the function (the true/false at the third argument), unless you're purposefully trying to do a binary approximate match, which it doesn't seems to be the case

Keep in mind =MATCH() will only return the relative position of the matching cell, so if you want to return something based on it, you need =INDEX()

Sorry, something came up meanwhile. Anyways:

1 - I'm assuming "Sheet1" exists on the file, but you can't have "Sheet1" right beside the =MATCH() function - the reference is given ON THE FUCNTION (i.e inside it).

2 - Could you give me a test (dummy numbers) printscreen? I can then get you a working formula

Anyone know why my wildcards * are not working consistently in sumifs? If I combine multiple sumifs in one formula using + the wildcard only works in some parts. In other parts I need to specify the exact full text which makes my formula lengthier than needed. For example, "app*" isn't picking up "application" and "apple" so I need two separate sumifs to pick up these two.

Matching Data into Same Row

This may be simple or complicated:
I have a data set that is divided into 6 columns. I need to combine some of the rows together based off matching data.

What needs to happen is everyone with the same Bus Driver, needs to populate into the same row. Instead of the same Bus Driver being listed twice in the column.

For The names I plan on labeling them Person 1 | Person 2 | Person 3 | Person 4 | Person 5

I attached a smaller data set for an example

Hi! Disclaimer: not an excel genius…

I’m trying to use the lookup function to grab data from a worksheet within the same workbook. I want the column to reference the cost code in one worksheet, find the cost code in the other and display the billed to date associated with it. The problem is that it repeats an amount randomly. There will be multiples then a blank cell in one that I know has a cost associated with it.
Formula=LOOKUP(D3,!Sheet!$D:$D,!Sheet!$H:$H)

Thanks!
