Does your company have a social impact/charitable giving/social responsibility department? My background is in government and nonprofit, looking to pivot into the for profit space. I've identified Deloitte and PwC having such departments. Curious as to what other companies I should consider. Thanks in advance!

Hi I had someone recently tell me I should have my education and certifications above my experience on my resume. I found this weird as I thought since I had 5 years of work experience that would go first. They said since I graduated college in 2020 and was actively in a certificate program those should go above my current experience. Thoughts?

I’ll have an interview tomorrow and already panicking lol please help me check if I need to add anything else. Thank you 🐠
1) Tell me about yourself (background, experience, why this position is a perfect fit)
2) Why you want to work here (company future)
3) what is your salary expectation (I’m still learning about the position, maybe you can tell me what is company budget for this role)
4) Do you have any Q (what is company culture like?)

How do you evaluate the financial health/viability of a startup you’re interviewing with? Are there specific questions you ask and/or external research you do? I know any company will put its best foot forward during interviews, so I’m trying to figure out to accurately evaluate those statements.

Been since May 23rd that I’ve completed my background check. Called the 3rd party company and they said the background check has been sent to the hiring company for review as of last Friday. Should I wait another day before following up with my recruiter about the status of the background check? I don’t suspect there to be any crazy thing, but I’m just anxious. I’ve just never had a background check take at or over a week. Advice?

I’m interviewing with the company although I have offer signed with another (going though background checks, so didn’t wanna stop before knowing 100%). Really love the process and the team, but unless something goes sideways with signed offer won’t be joining them. I have a colleague who is probably even better fit for the position, I know that she will enjoy the team too and would be happy for a chance to interview with them. How do I approach this?

I’m interviewing for a position that’s a 6-MONTH HOURLY CONTRACTED copywriter position (5 years experience).

Any advice on negotiating salary on that..? I have no reference point on how much that would break down hourly for 6 months.

What are signs that an offer is coming?

I recently had an interview with the hiring manager and they did 95% of the talking. It was the weirdest interview I’ve ever had. I didn’t know whether to interrupt and get a question and some comments in or stay quiet and listen. I couldn’t even gauge how it went. Has this happened to you.?
Also on average how many jobs do people typically interview for before they get an offer?
