Can someone recommend the top consulting firms to look at for HCLS opportunities? Preferably firms with a dedicated BU in HCLS focused on advising as well as project based work. I am currently in discussions with Huron. I have looked at Oliver Wyman (appears to be heavy on payor and Rev Cycle), Deloitte McKinsey & Company and Capgemini I’ve reached out to McKinsey but didn’t receive a reply. Any direction/advice and referrals would be greatly appreciated!

OP, are you in AA? If so, be careful of trying to “control” the situation. Perhaps your Higher Power is doing for you what you can’t do for yourself. Is it worth a slip just to feel inclusion with people drinking and working?
Nowadays I’m usually annoyed when someone is drinking around me and they have more than two, because they usually start acting buzzed (or I guess, being buzzed, haha).
I know you could say “well you’re lucky to get out of that”. But I want to learn and I want that social interaction too. It would be amazing to work for people who understand those who don’t drink. I’ve been sober for 2 years now and I’m still relearning how to live. I won’t compromise my sobriety over trying to fit in. Just saying ... I would LOVE to work with some sober people. If you’re looking for an analyst - I’m looking for a great project with some leadership in sobriety.
I know how you feel about not bonding over drinking with everyone else. I’m working with my therapist on this exact topic now. I think the key is for us to realize that we can get the same level of bonding and inclusion without drinking. With my team, nobody cares that I don’t drink, but I still feel that I am missing out on the bonding - I think it’s me and my perception, not them. Hang in there!
Because you’re sober?
My gut says yes. Everyone on my team is awesome. This is just something the leadership and part of the team doesn’t get which it’s totally ok. They respect that I’m sober but that limits how deep we can connect. When it comes to letting loose and work over drinks, because the primary purpose is to connect over drinking, I feel a little excluded. Kind of hard to explain the feeling. I guess I just wish more people were comfortable with others not drinking.
