My wife and I just experienced our second consecutive IVF miscarriage at 11 weeks. The first miscarriage came at 10 weeks. The doctor said that the chances of miscarriage is 5% at 10 weeks and just 1% at 11 weeks. We went through all testing before we started IVF both times and nothing came back abnormal. We’re not sure what we should do at this point as my wife turns 42 this month. Has anyone else experienced late 1st trimester IVF miscarriages? What factored into your decision?

I’ve had several great interviews with a few diff companies. Or rather, I thought they went well but then I get the dreaded “thanks but we made the difficult decision to move forward with other candidates”. I’ve asked for feedback but so far have gotten none.

I know it’s competitive out there, but I also don’t know how I can either position myself better, seek positions that are more aligned with my expertise/experience, or work on improving certain areas.

As far as reviews go- does everyone check Glassdoor and indeed before applying? I’ve had a couple companies reach out to me but they’re a 3.6 or 3.4 and doesn’t really spike my interest. I usually try and work for companies that are at least a 4.0 so I have some sanity left at the end of the day.

Curious about senior field engineering roles (SAs.. SEs) comp ranges. I've been in pre-sales for about 6 years now, before that I was working as a FTE for a large multinational as a big data architect.

My comp seems good but you never really know until you compare - especially since my current employer isn't public so putting a price on the RSUs is hard.
