SC starts at 90k and goes up to 140k I believe. Always negotiate when they give you an offer, ask for a sign on bonus too. My experience has been really good but it's because my team is amazing. I know some other consultants are really struggling. You're expected to perform from the get go, definitely no slacking or just getting by doing the bare minimum here.

Starts at 80k. Where did you get 90k from?
GH1 - HR told me. I'm also at the C level getting paid high 80s.
I don’t know if I’d always agree with federal works less. There’s plenty of 60-70 hour weeks in fed. I really like the culture so far (less than 6 months). I came from another big 4 and the thing I’ve noticed the most of how personal the partners are. I never once was on a texting level with my partners previously, but here I’ve already been told openly to reach out at any time, by more than just one partner.
Salary wise, I think the recruiters aim low, in my personal opinion. But I had witnessed this from PwC’s federal practice before they broke off also. I had to counter, but you should be able to get a decent amount.
Rising Star
OP, I like the culture, but more context would be helpful. People are starting to merge commercial and public projects. I think starting SC is $85-90, but your yoe are a bit low so it depends on how much they want you, maybe.
