I have attended an interview, and am shortlisted. I have told the HR that I could join in 15-20 days. He now asked for the mail confirmation to get approval from the management. I have sent him mail confirmation also.
What if I can't get relive in 20 days(notice 3 months) ? How should i make HR hold the offer?

Was interviewed last year around October by google for a role at L5 level. Could not reach hiring committee level. In 2017 I was interviewed and could reach hiring committee but could not move any further and could not get selected. Given these two prior attempts, should I expect to get an interview by google anytime in future? I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Turns out firm has a conflict of interest that was missed in initial check, client has been instructed to retain a new attorney, court has ordered us to withdraw and client to produce documents by Wednesday.
