I have come across few posts which says it's illegal to do layoff in India. Have you read that? Is it true?

Recently started in-house from private practice, a few months in. New company has had 2 rounds of layoffs since I resumed. I’m getting nervous. Should I be looking to jump ship? I feel my role is valuable to the company but the layoffs have been indiscriminate. Great performers, ok performers, new employees, older employees! I have a family to support and can’t afford to be out of a job in the coming months. Any advice or similar past experiences?

I was “terminated” from one of the shitty IT conglomerates from India today. for no reason at the same time I’m furious because I have documented all the discrimination , sexism, harassment, labor laws broken, intimidation tactics , harassment of various kinds including sexual, so I am demanding a larger severance package the. What they offered which was nothing. I have documented all proof of this. They have consistently set me up in situations designed for me to fail.

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

I got laid off very recently. The workload ran dry many months ago and have asked for more work constantly. I’d either get something that’d last a day or two or nothing. When I was in my final meeting, the Partner who hired me (He’s a tax/HR partner) said that besides the really light workload, I made some mistakes on entries. No one had ever given me feedback on anything so I’m not sure how that came up. My manager was very uninvolved during my time there and was just very hands off. Thoughts?

The whole recruiting team was responsive till July mid and today when I was following up all of their emails bounced back as undeliverable.
