Interviewing fo FB for their content designer role! Got a couple questions:
1. Does FB sponsor visas? i'm on the E3, which is much easier to get than the H1B. No lottery involved.

Been working in Big 4 FDD for a little under two years, interviewing past 2-3 months for FDD, strategy, and IB. Received an offer from a MM FDD group for a 25% pay bump, but mainly looking to pivot out as I’ve burned out of FDD and want to move into a more finance focused role. Currently moved into second rounds at a senior strategy role for a F500 and case study stage for two boutique IB’s.

Would it be dumb to turn down the guaranteed FDD role and see how the others turn out?

Has anyone worked with a PM who is really bad at execution? I am dealing with someone who doesn't know how to execute effectively and turns most things into political games. It is causing a lot of grief for my engineering team and I'd love some suggestions for how to handle this.

I love the company I work at but they are forcing everyone to return to office after two years working fully remote and the most successful eight quarters the company has had in years. People are leaving left and right forcing me and other team members to pick up the slack. For many reasons I do not want to return to office and they are standing firm on their policy. I have been short-listed among 2 other applicants for a great UX/UI role.
The role is very UI focused, am a jr but the role is Mid weight, yet I still got through! Yay
But now I got an email from the interviewer asking for live links of apps and websites that are similar to theirs that I have designed before.. I am stuck... should I decline the interview? I don't have much links to send. And the ones I did were confidential and the ones that are not , are already on my website what should I do?

English is my second language. I learned it 8 years ago and I have been living in the US for the past 5 years. I communicate very well, but sometimes I feel so bad when I don’t, or when I forget an English word in the middle of a design presentation 😣… Sometimes I wake up and my English is not good that day, for realz.

How long off on internship does everyone move on to find new jobs? I’m in my internship for around 6 months now and I don’t know if I should just move on.

Sometimes I am envious of other positions unrelated to design. Portfolios are tough, time consuming, and expensive! I’ve invested over half a k in the last two years fixing and redesigning my portfolio website, and that doesn’t include the time I put into it!

I wouldn’t change my profession in a heart beat but odd how it feels like we are the only group of professionals that has to invest money just to present our work.

An acquaintance from school asked me to design a logo for her. She already has the concept. She sent me a rough sketch with colors and typefaces she wants to use for her brand. She really just needs my illustration help. How much would you all charge for something like this? It’s a bit different from starting from scratch so I’m curious. Thank you!
