I am the new people mgr for a smaller company. They fired two HR Managers in 2021. One after only 3 months. I was eventually told that I was the second choice. I have been on the job for less than six months. We conducted an EE Engagement survey and there are employees lying about me in the free response sections. Also 60k joining bonus.

Wipro:

CTC: 7.40 Fixed + 0.6 Variable =8 total

Total YOE: 2+ years (26 months)

Everyone says upskilling will help in career progression, switching. But, what I have observed is - if you don't have work exp on a technology, then ,the efforts you put to get trained on that is of no use.
I am in a Big Data project from past 3 yrs. Here, there is nothing on spark. Its all hive, sqoop etc.
But I did spark course. Still all companies want work exp, and don't entertain mere knowledge. So, if ultimately your project decides your fate, then, whats the use of training & upskilling?
