I asked TCS for a salary renegotiation, they agreed and they sent the new salary breakup, But they are not sending the revised offer letter, Whenever I ask them they are saying it's in the clearance process you'll receive shortly.
But my date of joining is on Monday, HR is telling me to join & they'll send the updated offer letter within 7 days of my joining, can we trust these words, Has anyone faced a similar situation?Tata Consultancy

As far as advancement for Indians is concerned, there are not a lot of success stories tbh. The firm is becoming diverse but the starting point was way behind, so lots to do still to make it inclusive

What practice are you joining? It depends on that too. Managers have it rough ngl in terms of WLB. 30% bonus should be doable without even being a top performer

I hope for your sake that you’re Lebanese (Re: career progression). WLB will be trash regardless though…sorry
Hmm.. so, per your feedback, i could be in a shock from a culture / wlb pov. My plan is to quietly about my work, do the hard grind for a couple of years and build some equity within the firm.
Indians generally have it rough.
WLB is easier if you know Arabic, at least for integration and building connects/ equity. Most/ all Lebanese folk will choose to talk in Arabic and that would ruin team dynamic to the core.
Progression wise, there’s just 1 Indian partner out of 50+. Most are stagnated at Principal Level and do not get promoted beyond that for 5-7 years even (happened to one).

Is it because they can’t sell work due to network? Isn’t selling the work is all that matters for promotion?
