I was a top-performing sales rep in pharma and tech for 5 years, tech recruiting for 3.5 years, and recently transitioned to HRBP at a tech professional services company in NYC. I'm paid $119k. When I asked for a raise I was told I am already overpaid for HRBP. Is this true? What sources can I leverage for accurate pay in tech and HR? Payscale, Glassdoor, etc. all seem really low w/ the markets focus on hiring/retention. My focus is employee engagement and retention of mostly engineering teams.

Hi all, I started this project 2 years ago called Wise Charlie (www.wisecharlie.com) which focuses on mental models and critical thinking.
In 2017/2018, I was contemplating going to grad school or starting a project. I decided on the latter. After not really doing much, I picked up on it this summer due to Covid. I now have 100+ customers and a few hundred newsletter subscribers. It’s been rewarding so far and have improved my own thinking.

As per last year norms (considering if mid year happens this time in Feb)
1) you are only eligible for mid year hike if you join before October
2)there is no bonus during mid year
3) if mid year does not happen then you will get hike in October cycle along with yearly bonus (which is given only 1 an year )
Note considering you are at senior level you can easily expect 14+ percent yearly bonus on pro rata basis and bonus is given with August salary
Rising Star
No 6 months bonus, no mid year hike. Hike will be in October 2023.
