If you want to keep a car long term don’t go German
Buy used. Preferably low-mileage sedans just off of lease. Sedans depreciate more quickly than SUVs and typically cost less.
Look for vehicles with a transferable warranty.
Op — then get a minivan. More room and better gas mileage than an SUV.

Seconding the GX460. I just bought one over the summer and I’m not sure I’ll ever want to get rid of it. The durability of these things is unmatched. But if you’re looking for a vehicle with the latest technology the GX is not it. The 2021’s still don’t even come with apple car play.

If you want to keep a car for a long time, buy a Toyota or Honda. Unless long to you = 6 years
Lexus NX or RX based no your Q5 response- it’s a nice car and maintenance won’t kill your wallet
