Hi. I recently got offered a position for Deloitte USDC model as an analyst. The offer letter states that the tenure of the employment is tied to a certain project although they may retain me if I find another project. Is this something to be worried about? P.S: this is with the Oracle Practice.

If you come onboard, I can introduce you to some awesome USDC folks but I guess it’s like a sink or swim situation.

Thank you. Any comments on the Oracle practice? I interviewed for a delivery position but not sure if it's pdm or usdc.

Oh wow. That’s a new one for me.

like

Any feedback?

Better to take up some other opportunity. Deloitte USDC standards as an Analyst is very low.

like

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have very many offers at present and just wanted a way to get Deloitte on my resume.

This is PDM. Demand is high enough that you shouldn’t have a problem finding new projects, and they’ll probably keep you on one gig for a while, but yeah it’s a real stipulation.

like

Thanks D3: I was just conveying what the recruiter told me. I am getting a sense that you would not recommend PDM. Is that kinda true?

For USDC there is no promotional timeline. You could be an analyst for many years. There is also no track to anything at a director or above level. And get ready to be paid less than the core consulting business.

Thank you for your perspective.

Hi all, I currently work in Dallas, TX at Ryan as a Tax Technology Consultant & was just offered a position at EY as a Tax Tech Senior with total comp being 90k, which is roughly a 50% pay increase and a promotion to a Senior. I only have 1 year & 4 months of experience as I graduated college in may of 2020. I am also 2/4 on the CPA exams thus far - having passed FAR and BEC and just took AUD yesterday. Any thoughts on this offer and the salary for a Senior at EY?

Had a great informational interview with a managing director last week. I mentioned that I applied for a position within the company and he said he could fast track the application for me. I sent him my resume at his request. I want to follow up. Is it too soon given that we met last week? Also, assuming he was genuine, I want to update him on what I've done since our chat and ask about how to prepare for any upcoming discussions/case interviews? Am I being too pushy? Thx
