Hi, I recently move apartments and companies and I’m wondering if I’ll have to notify my old company of the move for them to ship my W2 to the right place. They used adp and my current company does too. Any help is appreciated!

Most companies give their employees / termed employees access for 2yrs or less. Try to log into ADP and make the change yourself. Plus you can always log into the same portal to print your W2 once it’s is available. If you do not have access, it wouldn’t hurt to just email HR and alert them that your address have been changed.

Hi - do you have a self serve option on the ADP site through your old co? Typically that’s how it’s done now with ADP, Insperity, etc., employees update their own personal details. Otherwise make sure you put a change of address into the post office for first class mail and it will be forwarded; all of your first class mail to your old address (that you might have not remembered to update) will be forwarded for a year.

Got two offers this week!

If company A is offering more base w/ lower overall TC while company B is offering less base w/ overall higher TC, can I bring company B’s offer to company A to negotiate for an even higher base?

I’m not too bullish about company A’s RSUs and wouldn’t really find it that much more appealing if they increased that portion of TC.

And for those just starting the search, know that the offers do come. I started this process in Jan/Feb.

When I first got into PA the managing partner at the small firm stated they preferred to avoid 1040 only clients because they can take up a lot of time and the margins are small. Additional Posts in Human Resources

I am unfamiliar with recruiting actual recruiters and am surprised by the average salary.

I'm seeing salaries for senior recruiters,5 years experience, averaging $120 - 135k. I'll be honest, this has popped the lid on my budget. I need someone who can be strategic and tech savvy, who can recruit and lead a small team (>3). I'm a supporter of paying market standards but this seems high for the need. Is this standard and I'm just out of touch?

New/pivoting into HR! 👋 Currently working as a TA Coord with a little entry level work in HR Ops prior to this. Is there a SHRM link, reliable test, or method of shadowing the various parts of HR that will provide a sample of the work, thinking, and day to day experience of each group? I didn’t go to school for HR and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to sample HR Ops. vs. TA vs. Comp vs. Benefits vs. Payroll, etc. I know work experience is the best barometer, but what can supplement this?

My company offers DTO (discretionary time off with no buckets or limits) For the first time since I started 6 years ago, my boss told me it should be 3-4 weeks off as a rule of thumb. I was taken back because that seems like it defeats the purpose of DTO and in the past I've taken up to 5 weeks without issues. My employees are now really disgruntled and I'm between going to my boss or to straight to HR. What does DTO mean to you? Can they really put limits if none are in the DTO policy?

Question for any indigenous people out there. My company is seeking to create employee resource groups and would like to use the word tribes to use them, as it is an alliteration to our company name, but also the definition means a group of people from the same community/culture.
