Hi, I wanted to know if in Google India offices, do people get to work on projects like Machine learning/ Deep learning in Healthcare? Like for example Dr. Lily Peng is working as a Product manager for Diabetic Retinopathy diagnosis with ML. If anyone from Google can throw some light on this, that would be really helpful. Thanks!

A friend opened up to me about her extra marital interest/dilemma surrounding that interest. She realizes her pattern due to some underlying issue she needs to resolve and is seeing a therapist, yet whenever we talk she goes into details related to this guy and about her dilemma. I have listened to her for 3 months and weighed in where I could, and I care about HER and her mental health. But if ask about her mental health she goes into stories about this dude. How do I establish my boundary? 🙏🏼

Appreciate some help with evaluating two offers: 1.Non-FAANG big tech: 155k base + 15% bonus + 90k stock + 401k match 2. Late stage startup (expected to ipo in 2-3 years): 130k base + 160k stock. Both are very similar roles in a HCOL city. Is it worth to take a pay cut to bet for the IPO? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am looking to switch careers. I have been in my current career for nearly 20 years. I need a change. I have masters degree in instructional technology, health care administration, and English. I am working on trying to work my current skills into today's job market. That is more difficult than I anticipated. I guess I'm wondering if there really is anything out there to switch to? I feel lucky to have a job, but it is getting very depressing and difficult to get up for work.

Second year Consultant who came from a benefits broker. I feel like I am very much still learning the ropes of consulting. Was asked to help on a deck for proposal work for something I have no background/knowledge in. Told by the partner that I wouldn’t be creating content just story boarding and managing and organizing in the deck. The manager, familiar with the proposed solution, however seems to be annoyed with me that I didn’t create content. Not sure what to make of this?

What's the norm for consulting firms during a shutdown? Do people on non funded projects usually get furloughed or kept on? Asking because I've been at a bigger firm that kept everyone on during the last shutdown, but I'm at a much smaller company now that is going to furlough on a project by project basis (if your project is shutdown, you get furloughed). Just curious if this is commonplace among smaller firms/what the norm is for bigger ones as well? What's been your experience?
