Does anyone feel like their district IS NOT taking enough precautions about the Coronavirus? Not saying it’s time to panic at all but the lack of a response when it’s one county away?

I recently got a job offer through a company that offered me the high end of what I was asking (75k) but since it is the high end of what I asked for, do I have room to negotiate? Is 5 YOE considered entry level or associate? When I apply to associate level jobs I get nothing but rejections. And all the entry level jobs call for new grads or people with under 3 YOE.

I’m so confused. How do recruiters look at someone with 5 YOE? What level is that considered?

Hi! My friend works as a recruiter for a recruiting agency, and he told me the company will let recruiters “pay debt”. So each month that you don’t close any deal, you get paid for your base salary, then you are also on debt. Once you close a deal for example 3 months later, then you have to pay your salary back for those 3 months that you did not close any deal. And also the Inmail fee on LinkedIn will be deducted from the commission too. Is this normal in recruiting agencies?

Need some honest advice. I accepted an offer but haven’t signed the offer letter. I didn’t negotiate my salary because they offered me $2k more than my previous salary. I was super excited to get the offer because I’ve been out of work for 3 mons. I didn’t factor in inflation. Is it too late to negotiate now? What’s the etiquette? I have never in my life negotiated my salary bcuz it’s always higher than my last. Thanks in advance!

Is there a tried and true method to applying to roles?

For instance, I usually find a role I’m interested in on LinkedIn then I go to the company’s website and apply there directly. I always take note of the recruiter assigned to the role so that I can contact them regarding my application.

Hi All! I have been actively looking for a role, and I have experienced working with different recruiters from small and big companies. One thing I started to notice is that they reach out knowing I don't have the specific skill or exprience the team is REALLY looking for. However, I still give it a chance for redeeming myself during the interview with hiring manager. But my question is why waste your and candidate's time when you know the team will not accept the candidate?

Quick question: how do you feel about asking for compensation when recruiters reach out via LinkedIn messages instead of waiting until the introductory call?!

It is a larger company say 1000 people. The conversation with her went really well and I’ve met with the hiring manager and one other person yesterday waiting to hear. But my question is, why would they need to reach out to people who haven’t applied for the role?

How do you navigate when you've already accepted an offer, but you get a better one? I'm supposed to start a new role tomorrow but got an offer for the job I really wanted, and it pays 50k more. Is it horrible if I quit while having just started?
