Hi! I work in an OIG. What other roles within the government would be an easy transition from auditing, as a 13? For background I worked as a manager at a Big 4 in Risk/Internal Controls and a smaller firm auditing contracts and grants.

I was a 13 Management Analyst, went to industry, then back govie to a 14 Project Manager Cyber Security Specialist and then back to industry. While immediate money is better out here, I'd stay Government, long term benefits are better. Look across agencies, might find something ir the bull to a 14 outside current agency.

I recommend risk management, financial analyst, management analyst (with finance or risk focus), and policy analyst job series. If you’re interested in contracting, this could be a good parlay into the 1102 series, or possibly grants and agreements.

like

You could do A-123 Appendix A Internal Controls which are usually Accountants(0510 series) at most agencies.

Should I stay in my role a bit longer to gain experience or I am not able to find remote or hybrid matching my profile. Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

Hi all! I am currently an engineer working in the water/wastewater treatment and environmental remediation sector but I've been interested in pivoting to sustainability for a while. I've looked into McK/BCG and to a lesser extent Big 4. Unfortunately, I got rejected by BCG before R1 and McK doesn't seem to be hiring at the associate level yet (in the expert track). Wanted to ask if anyone had any thoughts on how to best proceed as I am running out of ideas. Thanks!
