It’s called boarding or a kennel. I can’t fathom leaving a dog in a kennel for more than a week or so, especially if the dog isn’t used to it.
I use trusted house sitters when I go away and have used it when I went overseas for a month. It's kind of like Airbnb but in exchange for staying at my house, they watch my dog and water my plants. I've had a good experience so far. It's cheaper (free) than a boarding situation and my dog gets to stay at home in his own bed with lots of attention versus being in a kennel.

Where do you live? There’s many places that do boarding that have tons of land, and the dogs can romp around outside all day.
We’re sending ours for 3 weeks for our honeymoon.
I’m in Houston so I don’t know if specific places but I bet Burleson or Keller or one of the out skirt cities will have something similar.
We do doggie daycare that has boarding. Normally for that long I would do a stay and train program at a local kennel or boarding facility.
Any recommendations in Dallas area?
I’ve done poochville in Addison. The owners also run a rescue called Cody’s Rescue in Dallas and are great with dogs. It’s a smaller facility.
