How long does it take in TCS to get call from HR for salary disscusion after all Documents are verified?

Just another meeting where I am one of two black people (other person was sort of ambiguous tbh) and the only female in a leadership meeting.

My firm typically does insurance defense, but we take plaintiffs cases here and there. Is it typical that work done by associates on contingency cases isn’t counted toward their billable hour requirements unless and until we receive our fee on the case? This is my first experience with this, but it’s hard for me to reach my hours as is, without spending time on non billable cases like this with no assurance that I’ll see billable credit at the end.

Hi all, I am really confused in my career at the moment and would appreciate some advice.
I come from a tech background and has worked as an engineer pretty much throughout my career. I worked as a consultant for around 2 years and have experience working independently as a consultant for almost 2 years. I’ve now realised I’m getting paid significantly less than the market rate. I’m getting job offers with almost 40% increase. I know my male peers at my company get paid significantly more than me.
