I faced issue multiple times, when all the interview rounds were clear and HR offering too less than the expected salary even though all the discussion happened before scheduling the interview.

They asked to upload all the documents on the portal and at the end of whole process they are not going to provide near about expected CTC.

I don't understand this type of behaviour. Is there any way to mitigate this type of issue?

Had a really rough drinking episode this past weekend. Broke some things in our house. Don’t remember. For 20 years now, I can have 1-2 drinks and be fine 9/10 times, and that 10% I go HARD. Sometimes I just really need it, but it’s always filled with regret the next day. I really want to be able to drink a glass of wine or have a couple beers, but now my SO says 100% abstinence. How many years is optimal to work in consulting before exiting to industry? Been in consulting since undergrad (~1 year). Content enough with my job to stay for a few years or more if that’s what opens the most doors for me, but I’m interesting in exiting as soon as I can to a role with less hours but seniority / upward mobility (willing to compromise short-term comp).

What books would you recommend for someone wanting to get better at sales?

Talked to a LinkedIn recruiter who stated the range for a SM Comms role in the midwest would likely fall in the $140-160k range, w ~15% bonus and she didn’t state rsu’s as I imagine it would depend on experience. I’ve seen similar roles land in the $175-185+ range. Thoughts?

Just signed an offer for msft and setting a tentative start date. The manager seems flexible between a 8/1-8/15 start date. I was targeting a 8/15 start date so I could two weeks off and recharge my mental health while keeping my insurance, but the recent slowdowns and news of (very minor) layoffs at msft and other companies like Google have me seconding guessing myself. Any advice on what to do? Start ASAP or take time off and rest - 2 weeks shouldn’t change anything unless Coinbase happened
