I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

I've heard Farmers is pretty good. Don't know firsthand. Check out Glassdoor. The employee reviews are pretty insightful.
Yes, farmers pays well! I started off at 68k w/ no experience
I used to work at Allstate. I loved working there. The culture was amazing and the benefits were great as well.
I worked at Allstate. The pay was poor and the workload was beyond unrealistic. Everyone was behind and management allowed it so there was absolutely no benefit for people getting caught up. I have a few friends there to date and nothing has changed.
Currently companies on new hire are in the range of 80-89k for your senior tenure. These numbers go for companies like Kemper, State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual. Again all this has to be with your given experience ( litigation experience is the one sought out the most ) I am a 10 year vet and I am in the mid park of that number. You should get more on that extra 5 years ;). Good luck
Thank you! I’ve been hearing this is the going range for many companies now. I’m making significantly less than that. My background is personal/commercial auto liability, bodily injury and CGL. I don’t have litigation experience.
At 15 years as a property adjuster you should be making 120-160k depending on your market.
Nationwide, Chubb, Pure, Liberty, AmFam, Hanover, even Mercury. NY, CA, CO, NJ, WA
If money is your main goal and you like Adjusting have you thought about Independent adjusting?! It depends on what kind of work life balance you want but pay is way higher on the IA side and most now offer benefits . It sounds like you have multi line experience which will benefit you and offer you tons of variety. I will be honest with you. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a good strong work ethic the mainstream insurance companies will be a slow crawl to a high salary. Be sure you look at the entire package when making an assessment on a company not just money. Good luck.

EMC has a really great work environment, I don’t know salary for people with that many YOE, but I know people with only a few years in making mid 60’s. I’d assume with your experience you could get where you want to be.
I agree with EMC! WLB and company culture is great. Salary is also decent.
How much do you want to make?
At least 80-85k. I’m making significantly less than that with my current company.
Im making 53k at national general and its like pulling teeth to get a decent raise. I want 60 and thats being nice. I just wish they would pay more. The culture is great at allstate / nat gen
I agree it’s hard to get decent increases. It seems the only option is to switch companies. I have heard great things about Allstate.
What type of claims are you handling?
What type of claims have you been handling?
I know that AmTrust, FCCI, Westfield pay significantly more as do most TPAs for a GL adjuster. Take a look at Sedgwick or Gallagher Basset
Without litigation experience I feel there may be a ceiling for pay. More years experience is just more. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have acquired more knowledge or skills. What type of severity do you deal with? Complex coverage issues and other more complex claims earn you more stripes (dollars)
With us, At that kind of experience I'd expect around $75k.
Progressive pays well for senior reps, starting at $88k and up
