What’s the best way to tell your MDs or other seniors to do work? I’m not even junior but I feel like my seniors only ever show up on this project to yell at us if we’ve messed something up. At my previous banks, my seniors always stuck up for us and were there to focus and assist when we needed but my new bank… so frustrating.

Just got offered a remote job with a startup for $75k base + 2k stock options, and benefits (100% covered insurance, wellness, 401(K) (no match 🥲) and tons more, BUT I enjoy the company I’m at and the people. The company I’m at wants me to move to either NYC or SF. I would taking almost a 11% pay cut but at least I wouldn’t pay rent or get taxed NYC/CA tax since I’d be in Florida! Would you take a pay cut for a remote job with more take home money after taxes?

Fishes! Currently, I am a Procurement ACon( tech implementation) but I have been put into reporting work ever since I joined the firm in November :( It's all MS Excel and PPTs.... Though in Excel, I learnt learnt about Power Query, power pivots and intermediate excel formulas... I am extremely scared about my future :( Is MS Excel a good to have skill for tech Consulting? Or how can I ask for roll off from my current project?

Hey, all! I need serious advice. I am leaving my job in August (nobody knows this yet), but seriously, everyday I end up in tears because it's so demanding. It's getting to the point where I may have to quit for my mental health. I'm trying to make it to August, but everyday is so difficult. If you were me, should I tell my boss my struggles, so that changes can be made? Or should I just give them what I can, even though it may affect some of our projects?

I have a client who’s taking up a lot of my time, but is also my lowest hourly rate, but highest revenue producing client. The just have a ton of work so I can charge them a bit less. I’m at the point where I’m thinking about getting rid of them. As they won’t pay the higher amount. What’s the best advice here.

Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. Why can I never manually calculate my payroll? I look at the tax brackets and account for (seemingly) everything but can never get my calculations to match what’s in ADP. It’s always slightly off.

I have been living with my parents on and off and things have hit a breaking point. My parents gaslight and gang up against me. I think I need to go back to my out of state apartment and cut ties with my mom until she sees a therapist. But doing that feels so permanent and so I keep putting it off to see if I can make it another week. My s/o is working at an office here so it’s in his best interest to stay. I feel leaving would cause drama and chaos for everyone and I just need to suck it up
