Has anyone worked as a HR Manager for Amazon? If so what did the role entail and how was the environment there? Theirs recruiters keep contacting me and they are a bit pushy. Salary range is $135 to $143 and I am told they work you at a Director level. Wondering if it is worth a lateral move.

MBA might give you a foot in the U.S. market, but it would be a holiday for you and nothing more from a pure career (regardless of location) standpoint. Problem would be it can be tough to get into PE out of MBA so you might want to get a standing offer from your current situation to return.
Clarifying: it’s true that you would be an attractive candidate for PE entry post-MBA. But, structurally, there are few/small recruitment pipelines for post-MBA. Hence, few natural introductions to processes.
Honestly you might have more luck trying to get into a shop with a strong U.S. presence and transfer (if U.S. is the primary goal)
I hear not many PE firms sponsor in the US.
Thank you, that’s very helpful, although not something I would like to hear…
I think you should first start by forming connections on LinkedIn and then evaluate your chances. If you’re doing good in your career, there isn’t any need to take a risk. Lastly, for some companies, MBA matters. For some, it doesn’t. I would recommend an MBA executive program.
