Hi I’m an RN with one year of experience so far and I have an interview coming up with the ED. I want to know what’s a pay range or pay price I should I ask for during the interview process that’s reasonable? Also I work in Chicago

Hi I would focus on the interview and check with HR on pay not at the interview. Good luck

The recruiter should be able to answer that question for you.

What are you currently making? Knock the interview out of the park and then ask what the range is for the job. Don't give them a number until they've given you their range.... then you can ask for something on the high end. :)

I’m currently making $32/hr NOC

The avg salary in Chicago is about 114k, but since you're just starting out, you might not be quite there yet. Offer a lot of value and they will want to pay you more though!!

Okay thank you will do

$32 is low for Chicago. I make $31 as a new grad in MI with a much lower cost of living. I would aim for $40 Minimum.

With ne year of experience I guess you can negotiate for $80 to $90k. That is already a good rate considering your experience. I was paid $73k when I joined the facility with more than a year of experience. By the way? How big is your facility?

At least $45 an hour although I live in Cali and that’s low but maybe not for a newer nurse.

The base would probably be around $85-$95. You can negotiate a higher base if you want. It also depends on the size of your facility.

You can negotiate based on your YOE. But I agree with Bronson. You should aim for the max range.

Hi Fishes,

I will be joining @Infosys consulting within a month. The CTC offered to me has a superannuation component attached to it and it is significant. The recruiter however mentioned that it is possible to reduce the amount of superannuation component from retiral section and add it to the in-hand part. If anyone has recently gone through the process, could you please guide me?@

It’s been over a year since I’ve been employed at my company and I want to speak to my manager about getting a raise. What should I say / how should I say it and approach the conversation? I have talking points about accomplishments and list of other tasks I’ve taken on outside of my job scope. I also received a job offer that is higher paying and I essentially want my employer to match/exceed it as I do enjoy working at my company and hate to leave. Any advice/suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Anyone have office drama? I started with this company, I unknowingly walked into a poop storm of drama. There are two team members who avoid contact with each other at all costs. And there are people talking about both of them. I have respect and empathy for everyone on my team. I genuinely like all of these people. Both sides have good points. Our manager will not address this, they believe we are adults and should just work it out. It interferes with work. Any ideas?
