Raise chat! I am approaching 1 year with my company and am unsure of how to approach my CEO when asking for a raise. When I first came on, I was given a 5% raise after 3 months. Anyone here 30+ been single for extended periods of time (years and years) and not mind it? I just love being on my own, doing what I want and not having to answer to anyone. I’m 30 now, and am starting to worry if maybe I’ll feel lonely if I keep on this path. So far I feel pretty good though. When I have been in relationships, I’ve always ended up feeling suffocated and like I just wanted to be on my own. Even if I was madly in love at the beginning. After max 1 yr tho, I’m like mmm, nah.

How do you not intervene when your parents are arguing? Especially when you know one is right over the other. I'm trying to stay out of it, but it's like all permeating in our relationships. Feel like I have an obligation to speak up but also it's just too much for me..I feel bad for not sticking up but I've done that before and the other one then just blames them for "brainwashing" me. Any advice?

Got an offer from a growing tech start up, base salary got reduced but bonus and stock options (300 units over 4 years) are amazing. The company is aiming for IPO next year. What're your thoughts on reduced base?

I passed the hiring committee review for a position at Google and the next step is the matching process (it was a general role, but industry hire). But the Recruiter has basically ghosted me for a month now. This whole process has taken SO long. Any suggestions on how to navigate it and do my own part in finding a team/matching/moving along my process?

Hi, I’m up for a promotion this up coming cycle (July) to become a senior Data Engineer. I was hired at my current firm as a more junior engineer but I’ve made strong headway since. I accepted a lower paycheck (120 Base, 150 TC) back then, but I don’t want to sell myself short this time. What is a competitive salary I could ask for and how do I negotiate that?

I am not sure it's enough to pass the exam and would like other study material. I've been looking but I am not sure what to trust. Is there anyone that has taken and passed the exam?
