It really depends on the industry, size of company, size of team etc.

Tech or non-tech? I assume in-house as well? What are your responsibilities? Are you building teams and doing formal 1:1s? Is this your first time managing? Have you done formal management training on things like the GROW model or other methods?

Send about right then if you’re at a startup and have equity.

I left a great team and high-visibility, high impact project with a client that loved me for a few more $$.

Had I stayed, I would have been festering on comp and constantly worried about my financial future.
Since I've left, I feel financially secure but listless and bored with a lame team on what I've discovered is a skeezy upsell.

Anyone else had to deal with this? Did you boomerang back?

1. Would you recommend living in Pearland?
2. What are other good areas to live in? Safe and would like to be less than 1 hour from Galveston.

“Can we make the drizzle a little more luscious?”

My issue is less with the fact that the word “luscious” is pretty binary. The drizzle is either luscious or it isn’t. My issue is the “a little more” part. So, it’s luscious right now. We want it MORE luscious—but definitely not a lot more, just a little. Otherwise it would be TOO luscious. Can’t have that.

I feel some way about this, and I'm wondering if I should bring this up with my manager? I'm grateful for the raise they gave me and the promotion last quarter, but I don't understand how someone at a lower level can be making more? I'm I being greedy?
