Hi folks, I was reached out to by a Fidelity Investments recruiter about their LEAP program. I'm interested but want to know people's experience and how it went/the interview process. Like maybe what questions they asked during the recruiter call and interviews etcetc. It seems like a good thing for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of experience.

As a mathematician who ended up in tech I can tell you in my opinion it has to do more with understanding fundamentals (logical steps for differentiation, integrals, linear systems, etc) as a basis for algorithms and computer logic than anything else. Does it help to understand anomalous values and basic functions , definitely. But you won’t need to know the natural log of 200 or the derivative of secant theta.
You can’t be absolutely terrible at math or you can be miserable when debugging or testing your own code lol.
You need to have a good understanding of the fundamentals but you don't have to be an Albert Einstein to get by!
If you're still in high school, you should def consider doing a STEM program or externship. They have tons of opportunities from nonprofits and associations
