I have been in logistics for 5 years now since I was 18. Well.. I brought up compensation, being a women and feeling bias since I'm a Latina... and two weeks after fired. After I explicitly said I was nervous about even bringing it up in fear of retaliation. My review after I brought it up was riddled with "issues" that were never even brought up as being an issue. Things that make you go hmm.

Few recruiters reached out to me and have been offering a hefty salary. Similar situation last year was different. I.e I see salary difference of 30 to 40% in base salary range. I am too excited to take the offer’s, but also scared that is it just momentarily and when market stabilizes they would fire folks???? The companies reaching out last year and this year are different ; none of them are big tech companies.

I have two offers in hand both great jobs - pay is salary + commission. One is 20k less at plan but is my previous company in which I was apart of an reorganization in 2020. I left on great terms and have a lot of connections but it will be a new territory. I really hate my job. Only because it's really difficult and I have low self esteem. My confidence has gotten lower after my meeting with my mentor. He was helping me on a project and a few days later I asked why we are doing it a certain way. He was pissed and said I should ask my questions early on instead of asking two days later. Ok, so I got this research request: find case law for the principal that matters settled by the parties (not by a binding settlement agreement) cannot be litigated in subsequent litigation. Basically, the plaintiff told the defendant “we have resolved this issue.” This is not res judicata but maybe some type of estoppel. But honestly, I have never heard of this principal within this context, and I am not finding FL or federal case law to support. Anyone have thoughts?

After clerking, my BF recently accepted an offer from and joined a V50 firm (been there a few weeks). Shortly before his start date, he heard back from a V5 firm (one he’s wanted to join for a while) and just got an even better offer. Practice groups at each firm are also different.

The office he joined for the V50 firm is in City A. The office for the V5 firm is in City B (where V50 firm also has an office).

Communication from my partners seem more negative rather than resolution based. My ideas have been spread around and others are taking credit for it. Micro management has begun. I have sourcers reaching out to me for update on candidates I have not push through instead of checking the system. I have to explain why I did what I did without any real reason. I’m not dropping the ball. I am persistent and have a go getter “get it done” approach. The employees I hire show up and seek longevity.

I've been working for 6 months as a recruiting temp. My original contract was dec-march. Then we mutually extended it when I had another offer for March. They then offered me full-time but I was interested in another role in another department. They agreed and I'm going to be working the 'temp to hire' role in the new department.

I was offered a promotion but due to internal policies the max comp they could offer was way under market value. I countered and was denied. I took time to think about it, being disappointed I applied for other jobs. Monday came and I decided to accept the offer. A week before starting my new position I got a call for one of the jobs I applied for. I am now going through to the last round of interviews the same week I start my new position. Would it be bad practice to accept another offer now?
