There's def a way to do this. That said, how would I tackle this:
1- create a macro that outputs all file names in a given location
2 - use a reference formula (e.g., index match) to search for the correct file (tip: use wildcard characters)
3 - create a macro that goes into the "correct file" and outputs all sheet names
4 - create a macro that copies another tab (or values on that tab, depending on what you need) into file master
That's it. This way you have a macro that will auto-update by itself, as long as the file you're looking exists in the folder.
I like this idea! Thank you!!!! Works and I think I like it better than the PQ option. Appreciate the help!!!
Use power query.
Thank you for the ideas! I went another way but I watched a lot of videos on this and I think I can apply to a couple different projects. Thank you again!!!
