I’ve always expected to make about 1/3 of the economic value I’m directly responsible for existing.
If most of the sale is done based on the brand recognition, referral partners or other economic factors, I’d expect the 1/3 of added value to be noticeably less than 1/3 of the customer’s payment or gross revenue. I’d think of it as 1/3 of net revenue, before your commission.
Assuming the $600k is the margin on whatever you’re selling, seems within range. If $600k is gross revenue (sticker-price) I’d think you’re doing very well.
