Partners - could you provide some insight how much big 4 partners make? Whether you're in big 4 or not - pretty sure you'd have an idea. Maybe give some kind of a range of what new partners earn ? Just want to know if it's worth it getting to the top.

Also would love to hear your opinion if years of slogging it upward is actually worth it. Do you feel partnership is everything you thought it would be ? (Prestige, money, status, etc)?

For anyone in NJ did you have to take an OPI and a WPT test for an ESL CEAS? I’m transferring over from NY and it was on the required documents list. I’m a native English speaker and I went to grad school in the us

Forgive me if this has already been addressed, but how do you handle teaching a student in an EOC course who does not speak any English? I feel like it is cruel to have them take an EOC in English.

I had a student tell me that he was learning more English by playing a Clue-like game called, Among Us. He asked if I could host a game for the class. The next day, during a workshop, the speaker brought it up as well. I checked it out and it looks promising and would certainly hook the students. Has anyone tried this?

When my students look up a word they don't know, they almost always pick the wrong definition or just pick the first one. How can I teach them how to pick the right meaning?

Who got their ACCESS scores back? Higher, lower, pleasantly surprised? I'm surprised that they did much better in speaking, but we have been very focused on it!

Looking for advice....I work in a school with very low ESL population and those that are ELL are English speakers. I have had a couple newcomers over the years, but mostly in the lower grades. Just got my first and only 5th grade, non-English speaker. Would love some ideas on how to best server her. I am one teacher and currently only here 4 days a week. I have 35 other students.

Help! I have one beginner ESL student. He's in 9th grade and he's really falling behind. He reads at probably a 1st or 2nd grade reading level. What can I give him to improve his literacy w/o being too babyish or demeaning?

What else can I do with a masters degree in ESL? I taught at 3 different schools in 3 years. The first two I resigned because they weren’t a good fit and this year I was non renewed despite my performance improving. I honestly don’t think teaching is for me

We're a small division and need some help testing. Do you think it would be a conflict of interest to have an ESL teacher proctor the ACCESS if their child was one of the students?

Chewing on the thought of going back to school for my doctorate degree. I would like to have an ESOL concentration but not all colleges offer it.Also, Educational Doctorate or PhD? How long would it take me? I would love to hear any advice and opinions from others who have done this!
