Is there an advantage to filing jointly? It just seems 2x the deductions of single filing. My spouse and I earn approximately the same (~$160k each) and bought a home together this year. Trying to see if we want to file joint or separate end of year

Hey awesome mamas! What are your plans for when you have to go back to work but your kids are staying home either doing distance-learning or the hybrid model? My three are all in middle school and high school doing the hybrid and are home by themselves Monday -Wednesday. Even though they’re old enough to be home by themselves I still don’t quite trust that they’re on task- especially my 6th grader. Also worried about having to help them with a lot of homework after I get home from work. Ideas?
