I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Hello everyone,
I have recently been hired as an Engineer Trainee from campus placements. The Job Description mentions both AI/ML and software development domains. I am more into the AI/ML side, but it seems that the team I am assigned to, is more into the software development side.
Is it possible that:
1. I get tasks on the AI/ML side in my current team?
2. Is there a way to switch to another team which works more on the AI/ML side? And will it be easy?

Wow, you should have burnt out months ago, to be honest. I hope you are at least getting paid the salary of three people since you are doing at least that much work.
That is completely normal considering how much you are working. That is also a very low slary for that position and working that many hours. I would def go to your manager for a raise.
That’s not a lot of money for doing 3 job at the same time
It is normal to feel burnt out from working. What isn't normal though is how less you are paid for such a demanding work load. If you aren't able to balance work and life anymore, there is a problem. You might want to raise this concern to your management as soon as you can.
May I ask you why did you apply for this job in the first place? Maybe it's a wrong choice of career that's why you get easily bored with it. Usually those who stayed in their profession until the day of their retirement have only two reasons. One, it's their dream job and it's what they want to do for the the rest of their lives. Second, they have no choice because they needed the money and it pays the bills with something extra to place in their savings account.
I work in the retail before I got this job. So when I did I took it without much considering since it’s hard for me to get a job with stability.
My one years review are coming soon and I hope to talk to the higher up about it. Either asking for a raise or use all my experience looking for a new job 😅🤣
That salary seems incredibly low. Where are you located? I would feel burnt out, too. That is a lot to take on.
Tampa, FL 😭
It's normal. We're not built to function like that. Get out of there once you've bit the 12 months mark.
It's very normal. After a couple of months, that would be an everyday feeling. That's why you really need to find some time to relax and recharge.
