You are in the business of making a living for yourself and your family. Leave with proper notice and enjoy that extra income in a position you’ve always wanted to be in. They’d let you go if they could pay someone less, you’d be naive to not leave for a better opportunity, respectfully.
Go ahead and leave doesn’t matter
Please leave it doesn’t matter.
I think you're good. I've seen people who have left after shorter tenures. The only potential issue would be if the new job has some bad vibes on the team, but I'd say that you could just plan for a new one in the worst case.
Leave and come
Go after that life you've planned for yourself! Seems like such a great opportunity
Legit doesn’t matter. That’s the best way to make more money anyway. Congrats by the way!
Goldman would scrape you from their shoe if it made them another million.
Go, don’t even give it a moment of concern. Just be respectful and courteous in you exit correspondence. Looking after yourself is your job. It is your only job. And congratulations on a great opportunity and having the courage to take that interview.
I literally got an offer from a FAANG after 6 weeks at a big bank. If the opportunity is really what you want & where you see yourself long term, make the jump as long as you know you’ll be okay with it.
Is there any way you can start at the one year mark? Maybe give 4 weeks notice at month 11. That should make a big difference with your boss and look better on the resume.
This makes no sense. Offer 2 weeks and congrats on the new role!
There is no loyalty one way or the other anymore. Thank them for the experience and that you're pursuing your dream career. Congrats on the job offer!
Hi, I have a better job offer, take that GS salary and shove it.
Double the pay for a position more aligned with your long-term goals - definitely go and don't feel bad AT ALL. Be respectful and work all the way up to your last day like you would have when you first got there, leave on a high note.
