From my experience, the main traits company’s want to see in a sales person is someone who is coachable , can hold a conversation , resilient , ask a lot of questions around career progression and who your target. Sales is a lot about targets so try and show examples of where you were resilient and we’re able to reach a target whilst doing so . Hope this helps.

Stay hungry and curious, ask lots of questions both internally and when speaking to clients.
Always put the clients’ needs first whilst trying to work out how your solution/ customer value proposition could help them directly.
You’re always speaking/ trying to sell to a person so don’t lose the human touch

Arguably the times you’re an SDR is the most important for your future success. Learn, grow, and grind it out for a year or less and then look for an AE position after.

Thanks!!!!

Actually i wanna ask.. (open to anyone)

what was your biggest challenge in a SDR role? and how did you overcome that?

The best way to learn excel is to take a professional MS excel course. Your skills will change within days.

like

Not an SDR but I have been in sales for over 15 years. You will be told “no” often but do not take it personally. Be curious. Keep learning from your co-workers, managers, all other resources. Your desire to succeed and excel will take you far. Congratulations on the new role!

Hey everyone! Wanted some advice - got an offer from a big ad agency for a Planning Manager role. Base salary is $90K (more than satisfactory, I have 2.5-3 years of total agency exp), but their PTO is severely lacking especially compared to my unlimited PTO benefit at my current job - they offered 10 actual PTO days, which are even prorated since it's mid-year. Assuming their PTO allowance is negotiable, any advice for how to handle the email follow-up to the written offer/how much to ask for?

Left my first job after just shy of two years because I was bored. Have been at my current job for about half a year and it’s a great resume builder but an absolute horror story (long hours, unreasonable clients, tons of weekend work that’s not worth the pay). If I left in a few months, at the 10 month mark, would that significantly hurt my chances of getting a strong exit opportunity? I can’t imagine staying here for the full year but I don’t want to blow my chances at leaving for a cool job

Hello all,

I had a quick question

Had a call with audit leaders last week and were told that they haven't finalized the office building and they will get possession of the new building in Pune only by Jan 2023.

Currently they just have the ITS with the seating capacity of 30 people.

Now for audit they want us to go to office 2 days every week. How are we supposed to do that when they don't even have an office? But they are still adamant to get us back to office location by June 1.
