I have 7.3 years of IT experience and recently bagged a job offer from JPMC . They offered me 21 LPA CTC and the job role as 601 . Can anyone help me out to understand if the role is justified ? Should it be 601 or 602 as per my experience ? During the HR discussion I mentioned my relevant experience as 5.5 years . JPMorgan Chase

What BS1 said plus Venice and Brentwood. It really is about what vibe you want. For a 2BR it’s going to be closer to 5k than 3k on the west side.
Definitely Brentwood, Santa Monica, Rancho Park, Beverlywood, West LA. A good 2BR apartment is 2-3k, but if you want a yes and garden, it’ll be closer to 4-5k.

Brentwood
+1 to Brentwood, Westwood, SM. Sawtelle may also work and might be a little cheaper (I lived there).
For pricing reference, I own a 2br/1ba house (<1000 sq ft) in Mar Vista that I am currently renting for $5k/mo. That leads me to believe it would be tough to get the same in the more premium markets mentioned above (Santa Monica, Venice, Brentwood, etc) within your price range. Maybe looks for a duplex or a ground floor apartment with some outdoor space? Or explore Culver City, Rancho Park, Mar Vista, etc.

This. You likely won’t get a house in Santa Monica or Venice in your price range but you can likely get a nice townhome with outdoor space.

Mortgage on even the cheapest 2B standalone homes on the west side is going to be 6K so I don’t see how rentals are going to be much lower than that.
If you are ok with a shared yard, check out the townhomes at Park La Brea.
